Okay I just got into modding, I used Mircowavesam's youtube letter bomb guide to install the homebrew channel. I think I've got everything done with the basics. Stronghold crusader 4.
My HBC is upside down but I that's a non-concern currently. What I'm wanting to know is what I need to do to get my.Wad ww/vc from my computer using one of my usb's onto my wii. I've looked through this site and the web but it seems like I keep getting redirected to having to install cios/ios files onto my wii before I can use my usb; but the guides aren't clearly telling me how to do this, or I'm getting confused by them. SO, 1.) What all do I need to do step by step to install the correct cios/ios? 2.) Which one's will I need? 3.) What exactly do I do with them once download, (preferably from my wii, if possible)?
4.) How do I need to set up my.wad file unto my already formatted FAT32 usb so I can finally enjoy it???? 5.) What will I need to do to set-up my usb device/.wad onto my wii???
Wii Soft-Mod Information. Download DarkCorp v1.1 Lite. Grab the HackMii installer and the copy of BannerBomb you need to install the Homebrew Channel on your Wii.
I can follow guides but I need to know which one's to do in a correct order and they have too let me know how to do what I need to do by a step-by-step basis. As you can tell I'm more a video tutorial kinda guy. -_- http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-newbie-discussions-forum/104130-ntsf-wad-cios-ios-ww-vc-via-usb.html. Best Answer: If your HBC is upside down, I'm guessing you ran the DarkCORP installer. Unless you have an older Wii that can read backup disks this is pointless, and even then some newer games won't play on the older version IOSes this mods.
All of the apps in that pack are outdated. Being you have a wiihacks ID use to get the latest version MMM, and read how to use it. That guide also has a link to WiiMod (included in the mod pack in next part) which is almost the same thing but it can do more dangerous stuff but it can also install wad files stored on a USB drive. Get Mod Pack and IOS Update (shop channel if you want it) Delete ALL that Microwavesam crap off your SD and put the wiihacks files on there.
Use HBC to load MMM and 'load another IOS' so MMM is using 236. Cm 01 02 original database code. Use MMMs wad manager to install all the wads you just got from wiihacks. This will overwrite the DarkCORP install so all retail games will work (and HBC won't be upside down), patch the system menu IOS, install the most current cIOSes for USB loading. Install the Priiloader 0.7 from Wiihacks as MS one is old 0.4 version, be sure to enable the block update hacks. Now that your Wii has a proper hack, go back to the begining of that guide and in Launch Hackmii installer download WiiMod-58-61-Hackmii_1.1.0_BB2.zip from 4.0-4.2 Bannerbomb v2. Copy the hackmii_installer_v1.0 folder into the apps folder on SD card. Reinstall HBC, this installs v1.1, and prepare SD for bootmii then reinstall bootmii @ boot2 if possible (will auto install as IOS).
Once that is done start bootmii, (will autostart if boot2 or if IOS, in HBC press home button then click start bootmii) and make a new NAND backup. Now at the end of that guide get the app pack v4 for updated versions of the usb loaders and WiiMC to play media. As far as I know you can play them from your usb drive as the system menu has no way to access it. You can, with a patched system menu, install it to the Wii memory then move it to the SD card to free up space on the Wii's 512MB. You might down load some application that snap shots a disk onto your computer and emulates a CD force, then find a reinstall disk can create a.Iso of it (on a pc with a CD pressure and a few photo creating application), or potentially down load one from the internet (if it is legal, i don't know).
Nonetheless I have no idea if this may work as you would have to boot from the CD and as a consequence have the program running before you started. I know that you would be able to boot from a USB stick if you have latest BIOS due to the fact that I generally boot puppy linux from a USB stick, however I don't know if home windows has created a startup USB stick file. • Tell us some more • Upload in Progress • Upload failed.
